DriverUp! uses GPS to track every driver. It links to the POS to track all in-store activity. Then it puts it all together to manage the whole process.

Drivers place a GPS-enabled cell phone in their vehicle at the start of each shift. Special software on the phone determines its location every 15 seconds and sends this data to the Internet using the cell phone's data transmission service. At any time, a map showing all drivers' current positions is available in the store.

In the store, DriverUp! software connects to the Internet to receive continuous updates from GPS phones in the field. The POS is also connected to DriverUp! and instantly updates each time a new order is received, placed in the oven, or dispatched.

Special software calculates when drivers will return to the store based on their location and activity on the road. Monitoring software estimates when pizzas will emerge from the oven. Advanced algorithms then determine the best combinations of singles, doubles, triples, etc. Every 15 seconds, DriverUp! recalculates based on any changes that may have occurred such as drivers delayed in traffic, new customer orders, or backlogs in the oven.

Maps can be automatically printed showing each run with optimized routes as well as zoom maps for the area surrounding the destination. Driving directions can be either printed or transmitted to the phone so that drivers can be audibly directed (in 8 languages) to use the optimal route, reducing the reliance on drivers with extensive knowledge of the delivery area.

Settings can be customized to emphasize company goals: minimize delivery time, save labor, save fuel, increase sales, etc.
